As noted above, this issue is a special issue. Hopefully I can get the scheduled issue out to you in the next few weeks. I've had loads of server trouble that has kept me from completing several projects. I love technology, but I really hate when it gets the best of me. :)

Breathing Profits Back Into The Big E... Part I

How many of you are making money on Ebay? Well if you are, can you PLEASE tell me HOW you are doing it? :)

Now, for those of you who are NOT making money on Ebay, I have something I want to share with you.

I got the idea from Keith Baxter's Stealth Traffic Secrets ( http://tomeymarketing.com/stealth-traffic.htm ) No, I'm not just rehashing information. I'm going to take what I learned, expand on this incredible tactic, teach you exactly how to do it, and then you and I are going to hold an experiment to see if it works.

How does that sound for fun? :) Okay, it's only going to be fun if we really make money with it. With that said, let's get started…

The basics of this technique is taking an inexpensive product, (an ebook, audio/video course, software, etc.) selling it on Ebay for next to nothing and then using the techniques I teach you to get those buyers to buy from you over and over again.

I bet you want to know exactly how to do this though don't you? Don't worry, I'm going to take you by the hand and show you exactly how to make a killing doing this.

The first thing you need are a few products between $50-$100 that you either own (that you actually created) or are an affiliate for. Don't use one of those resale rights products that's been passed around the Internet either. You need good solid in demand products. All products need to be related also. Don't have products on Internet marketing, Pets, Cars, etc. This is one of the main keys to making this work. If you don't have all the right keys to this technique, it will not work.

Okay, we now have our products we are going to sell to our Ebay customers once they buy this inexpensive product we are getting ready to talk about…

Now we've got to come up with a hot in demand inexpensive product. This product must be yours or one that you have the rights to. You can't be an affiliate for the inexpensive product because you want to be the one getting the buyers contact information so you can later promote the other products we just talked about to these buyers.

Now before you go run off to find one of those crap resale rights products that have gone around and around and around the Internet, I've got a big surprise for you.

YOU, yes YOU, are going to create this inexpensive product yourself! Now before you start crying and whining that you can't do this, I want to tell you something. YOU CAN DO THIS!! Here are the steps you need to take.

Step #1 Find an in demand topic that is also related to the more expensive product you will be promoting to your buyers from Ebay.

Step #2 Decide what kind of product you are going to create for this in demand topic. You can make an ebook, audio/video product, software, etc.

Step #3 Once your product is created have a graphic made for your product. I highly recommend using http://www.NitroCovers.com . My friend Dima owns the site and does INCREDIBLE graphic designs for a 1/3 of the price most are charging. Dima does ALL of my graphics.:) Make sure you tell him Liz Tomey sent you.

Note: If you have a resale rights product that hasn't been over saturated, you can use it however; you will do better by creating your own original product. Remember I said earlier… If you don't have all the right keys to this technique, it will not work.

Now it's time to start putting this all together…

We have our inexpensive product, we have our more expensive products, so now what do we do?

We go to Ebay… http://www.Ebay.com

If you don't have an Ebay account sign up for one. If you've never used Ebay, we are not going to get into how to use Ebay here. There are many free resources and the Ebay site does a wonderful job of telling you all about Ebay.

Login to your account and let's start an auction.

We are going to create a "Buy It Now" auction where we will be selling our inexpensive product on Ebay. You'll use your sales letter as the description for your product. I suggest selling your product anywhere from $1 to $5. Yes, I know you have put a lot of work into this, and you may be under selling yourself, but we just want to get customers that we can sell our more expensive products to.

Once your auction is set up and ready to go, now it's time for the waiting game… We will have to wait to see if the Ebay buyers will buy our inexpensive product…

What if they don't? Ouch… Not many people throw this into the equation when telling you how to do something do they?

Okay, if no one buys from you, obviously you have a problem. You can do a couple of things here.

1. Start completely over

2. Try a different inexpensive product.

Once you start getting buyers for your inexpensive product, it's now time to really start making money… Here's where those more expensive products we picked out in the first part of this come into play…

When you get a buyer from Ebay, you get all of their contact information. You will use this contact information again and again, so you will need to come up with a way to keep track of it.

I have my own program I use to do this. It's basically just a simple program that keeps track of all my contacts for me. You can get simple ones for free by searching for them online.

Okay, now that we have our contact information of our Ebay buyer, it's time to try to get them to buy from us again.

Depending on how you delivered your inexpensive product (either downloadable or shipped to them) will depend on how you contact them.

Let's talk about how to get your buyer to buy from you again if you delivered your product via download.

Note: I highly recommend that you make your product a physical product. Physical products do much better on Ebay than downloadable products.

If your buyer purchased a digital download from you, here are a few ways you can get them to buy from you again.

· Before you send them to the download page, create a thank you note that leads them to subscribe to an auto responder series where you are promoting your other more expensive products.

· Within your digital product make references to your more expensive products. Don't try to hard sell in your product. You don't want it to look like a sales letter. Remember your buyer paid for this product. :)

Now if your product is a tangible product (for instance a CD or manual), I'm going to reveal to you some very powerful strategies that I have been successfully using since 1998 with my offline business.

· Once your buyer has purchased you will need to open up your favorite word processor and create one-page ads promoting your more expensive products. Have these one-page ads printed out and when you send your buyer their product, also include these ads. I do this with each and every order I send out from my direct mail business and I've got customers STILL buying from me that were buying from me in 1998.

· You can even create coupons for your more expensive products. Everyone loves a deal. This is something else I've used in my direct mail business over the years and it has ALWAYS worked to pull in more sales. I'm even creating a product over at http://www.MarketingWithCoupons.com that teaches people EXACTLY how to use the power of coupons to make more money.

Okay, now I've told you how to implement this strategy, but guess what? I've never done it. So let's see if it really works. I'm going to let you try to make this work through me. Yep, I'm going to take the heat off of you, and do a semi-live experiment.

We are going to use the next few issues to see if this technique really works. All I need from you is your feedback and input. Keyword Research Secrets Revealed

Several of you have asked what I use for keyword research. Here's my top-secret keyword research information… :)

I use two tools…

Keyword Results Analyzer - WT Version created by Andy Williams who is one of my FAVORITE SEO guys. (He and Paul Short just can't be beat for quality information).

KRA is by far the BEST tool to use for finding keywords to build niche sites around. You know all of those big time Adsense and niche-marketing guys selling you programs for $100's of dollars? They don't have anything on Andy.

When you have the power of his Wordtracker Tutorial and Niche Within A Niche report (you can get both of these free when you sign up for Andy's newsletter at http://www.ez-search-engine-optimization.com) combined with KRA, you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to make money with niche sites. It doesn't matter if you are creating niche sites to sell your own products, affiliate products, or just creating adsense sites with Andy's information and KRA, you have a complete strategy that WORKS!

Okay, I know I go off on rants about this stuff, but I really REALLY like KRA

The second tool I use, I couldn't live without either. It's called Keywords Analyzer. Yes the name is similar to the first tool, but it does totally different things.

You can use Keywords Analyzer just like you would Wordtracker, but it also tells you if your keywords have PPC campaigns (Google, Overture, and Miva) running for them, how many campaigns are running for them, what URLS are used in the campaigns, titles that are used in the campaigns, and words that are used in the campaigns.

This is how I use Keywords Analyzer

1. If I am creating a Google Adwords campaign. I will use Keywords Analyzer to find my keywords related to my campaign. I will then select the keywords that have the least amount of campaigns running for them. This ensures I get a front page listing. You will be competing for keywords that a lot of other people aren't competing for.

2. If I want to create a content site, I can use Keywords Analyzer to do keyword research. If I do a content site on cars. I can type in cars, and find tons of related keywords that I can build content around. Since I use Google Adsense for revenue on my content sites, I can pick the keywords that have Google Adwords campaigns running for them, and be sure that I'm getting good paying keywords..

If I had to pick one of these tools, I couldn't. Each does different things, and to do what I do, I couldn't live without either one…

So, my secret is out. I don't pay big bucks to self-appointed gurus to figure all this stuff out. I watch and listen and when I find something that really works from someone who really knows what they are talking about, I use it.

Wouldn't it be nice if all marketers were that way?
