Well this is a very special edition of the Marketing For REAL
People newsletter. Since this is year two of my “International
PLR Week”, this issue will be totally devoted to PLR (private
label rights) content. You’ll learn the best places to get PLR,
what to watch out for, and strategies to help you start making
money with PLR content.

First let’s go over the PLR resources we’ve talked about this
week. On Tuesday,

week. Let’s move on to how to make money from this stuff…

General PLR Tips

Before we dive into the juicy moneymaking tips for PLR, let’s go
over some basics. PLR (private label content) is content you buy
(be it text, audio, video, software, etc.) that you are able to
edit in any way that you want, and even claim it as your own.

Different products are going to have different rights, but this
is the basics behind PLR content. This content is pure gold
because you don’t have to spend time creating the content or
paying someone to do so for you.

When you buy PLR content, many times it will come with not only
the PLR product, but also a website with graphics to sell the
product. The thing is, you don’t want to use this as is. You want
to at least change the graphics, but better yet, you want to
change the product totally. The reason behind this is this PLR
stuff is sold to a lot of people, and most of these people will
try to sell it as is, so you’ll have a lot of competition. By
changing it, you have no competition because it’s a totally
different product once you change it.

Here’s another cool tip for PLR content. By taking one PLR
product, you can make several different products out of it.
Here’s what I mean…

Let’s say you just got your hands on a PLR product that is about
marketing your business online. You could take this product and
since marketing a business online is very general, you could
niche it down. Meaning you could take the product and develop it
(meaning having graphics and a website done) and gear it towards
Internet marketers, and then one for plumbers, and one for
writers, and so on. You could literally take one product and turn
it into 20, 50 or more, just by targeting it to a certain niche.

This is something that not many people at all do, and I don’t
understand why. It takes little effort, and you could make a
killing.

These are the basics of what to do with PLR content. Now let’s
get into some real meat…

Niche Audio Articles Strategies
==========================================

I wasn’t going to do a section on a specific site because I just
wanted to give you guys some ideas to get started making money,
but because the new Niche Audio Articles site
(tomeymarketing.com/is-crazy-about/audioarticles.htm) has
so much potential to make money, I wanted to give you a few ideas
you could do specifically with your membership to this site.
First, I have never seen a site like this, and what you’re
getting for the small price is awesome. As soon as Mike contacted
me with this idea for this site I got really excited because I
knew it would make me and others a lot of money.

Let’s talk about a few of the things you can do with what you get
from this site.
First you could take the articles you get and make audio ebooks
out of them. You get 25 articles with the audio recordings for
four different niches. Take these and make each article a topic
in your audio ebook, and you could kick out four new products a
month.

You could create an article directory specifically for audio
articles. This is something that is going to really catch on, and
by taking this idea an running with it, you could make some quick
money.
You could also take the articles and since you get 25 articles
for 4 different niches, you could create 4 different sites a
month with 25 pages of content. With your bonus articles of 50
articles for 2 different niches, you could have 6 sites a month
up and going. Put Adsense on these sites, and in a year, you
could have 72 of these sites, which is one heck of an “Adsense
Empire”.

Besides all of this, you could also make regular text ebooks out
of the articles instead of audio ebooks. Put affiliate links in
them and give them away, and you’ll have little moneymakers
floating all around the Internet for you.

These are just a few things you could do with your membership,
and I wanted to give you some ideas here because Niche Audio
Articles is a great deal, and would be very easy for a newbie to
put these ideas to use.
Now let’s move on to some big time moneymakers. If you’re brand
new with PLR products start with Niche Audio Articles
(tomeymarketing.com/is-crazy-about/audioarticles.htm) to
get the feel for everything and then you can move on to making
money with ANY PLR content that you can get your hands on.

PLR Software Strategies
==========================================

Now let’s talk about some ways you can make money with software
that you can get PLR to. Let me start by saying that you can make
more money with software than just about any other type of PLR
product. They have a higher perceived value, so people will pay
more money for your product if it’s a software product.

Here are a few things you can do with software products that you
get PLR to.

1. Create a physical product out of it. For instance, you get PLR
to a software product that allows people to create their own
affiliate programs. Take the software and put it on a CD, and it
becomes a physical product.

2. Add videos showing how to use the software product. Not only
will this put your own personal touch on the product, you wont
have as many customer support emails asking how to use the
product.

3. Niche down. Is what I mean by this is like we talked about
above. Instead of selling your software to a general audience,
create it for a certain niche. Using the affiliate program
software as an example again, you could create one called “Super
Affiliate Software For Internet Marketers”, and one called “Super
Affiliate Software For Small Businesses”, and one called “Super
Affiliate Software For Book Publishers, and so on. You could
literally take one product and just by changing the name, have a
product that you could market to many different niches.

4. Make sure that you rebrand the software. Meaning if there are
default graphics in the software that you change them to your own
so that the product really does look like it’s yours.

There’s much more that you can do with software products that
come with PLR, but this should be enough to really get you
started.

Niche PLR Strategies
==========================================

When you come across products that you can get PLR content
outside the Internet marketing niche, you need to grab these up.
I don’t care if you have a hard drive full of PLR content, you
need to get as much as you can.

The reason being is you can do so much with this content, and not
have to fight the competition in the Internet marketing niche.

Let’s talk about some of the ways you can use niche PLR content
to make a killing.

1. I have a ton of niche PLR content on my computer. About 3 gigs
(that’s A LOT) the last time I checked, but I’ve used about 90%
of it. One way I use it is to create products that I sell through
a sales letter website. Currently, I have about 10 of these
sites, and they bring me about $4500 a month. That doesn’t sound
like much, but the only thing I do to promote them is write
articles and submit them to the article directories. Each month I
have about 10 articles written per site. I pay about $5 an
article, so it cost me about $100 a month. $100 a month to make
$4500 a month doesn’t sound like a bad idea to me at all!

All you have to do is pick up 10 different products. Have new
graphics made for them, and put a website up for each one. Then
either write or pay someone to write articles for you, and use
these articles to drive traffic to your site. That’s really all
there is to it.

2. You could also take niche PLR products and put them in audio
format and sell them as audio books. Even put them on CD to make
a physical product. With all the people in the world who commute
to work and travel often, audio books are becoming huge. This is
a great way to cash in on this craze, and not have to do a lot of
work.

If you’ve got PLR ebooks, either record yourself reading them, or
hire someone to read them, and you’ve got an instant product.

3. Another great way is to make videos. If you have PLR content
that explains how to do something, why not take it and do either
a video recording with your video camera, or a screen capture
video if it’s something you can show someone how to do on the
computer.

Videos are another hot product, and can also be put on CD to make
a physical product.

4. You could also take your PLR content and create Adsense or
affiliate sites. It takes a lot of time to create content for a
site, but by using PLR content, you can have sites up very
quickly. Either put Adsense ads on them or affiliate links, and
you could have a whole fleet of sites making you money 24 hours a
day!

Internet Marketing Related PLR Strategies
==========================================

Now if you’re looking to make money in the Internet marketing
niche with PLR content, I first have a warning for you. Do not
try to create full blown products with PLR content for the
Internet marketing niche. It just doesn’t work real well, but
there are things you can do to make money with PLR in the
Internet marketing niche.

1. Create ecourses to build a list that you can promote affiliate
products to. For example, I have a PLR ebook on how to write
articles to make money. I could take the ebook and break it up
into pieces and add it to my autoresponder. I could then set up a
squeeze page offering the course if the person will put in their
contact information. The person gets the course, and I get their
email contact information to contact in the future.

2. Create viral reports and stick your affiliate links in them.
By doing this, you could have your report passed all around the
Internet with your affiliate links in them. How many times have
you bought a product from a link in a report or ebook? I know I
have many times. I use this strategy a lot, and it works great!

3. You could also create a membership site giving people access
to reports you create from PLR content. Give the membership site
away for free, and you could build a huge list.

You could also use some of the other strategies we have talked
about so far like audio, video, creating Adsense or affiliate
sites, etc. Just remember don’t try to create a full blown
product out of PLR content.

Your Very Own PLR Content
==========================================

Now here’s a new twist on making money with PLR. By either
creating or paying someone to create content for you that you can
sell as PLR content for other people. There are several people
who run membership sites offering PLR content, and sell packages
of PLR products and make a killing.

If you want to create a package of PLR products is what you would
need to do is pick 5-10 different niches. Research those niches
to see what people are buying, and create or have someone create
products for those niches. The best way to do it would be to sell
each package as a complete package. You’d need to have graphics
and a website made for each product to. This increases the value
of the packages. Then bundle it all together and sell it as a big
package of PLR products.

If you go this route, I would recommend picking a popular niche
and creating different products for that one popular niche.

It would take you $2500 - $8000 to set something like this up, so
if you don’t have the money to invest, I wouldn’t advise going
this route. On the other hand if you could take $2500 - $8000 and
make $50,000 - $100,000 this would be a VERY good investment.

If you don’t have that kind of money to put up front, is what you
could do is have one product created, and sell it. Keep doing
that over and over and as time goes on, you’d have the money to
invest to create a large package to sell. You could even create a
membership site offering people 1-2 PLR products a month for a
monthly subscription. This would give you a complete monthly
income. If you could get 100 people to signup for a $47
investment each, that would be $4700 a month!

Here’s one last idea for you if you want to create your own PLR
content to sell. Create a membership site that offers a limited
number of people (100-200) a membership to your site where you
will provide X amount of content with PLR that they could sell.

For instance, you could create a membership site that offered 200
articles with PLR each month and only members had the right to
resell the PLR to the articles. Charge $97 a month, and you have
$10,000 - $20,000 a month coming in.

Do this with ebooks or software, and you could make double or
triple that.

The hardest part of all of this is actually getting the content
created for you. You can go to places like www.Guru.com,
www.Elance.com, or www.RentACoder.com and pay
people to create this content for you, and make an absolute
killing.

Take a look at other sites online offering PLR content, and see
what ideas you can come up with on your own.

Well, I’m finally getting on a good schedule here and able to product more issues of the Marketing For REAL People Newsletter. It’s only been two weeks since the last one. It’s been several months since I’ve been able to publish the newsletter bi-weekly, so I’m glad to be getting back to normal around here. It was so simple to understand and also got me to start making money with Adwords instead of losing money. No other book I’ve read has done that for me.

What comes to mind is Google ads, sending articles to PRWeb, Mass emails to friends (not spam), ads in Ezines, etc.

What do you suggest so I do not waste my time and money on non-productive ventures trying to drive people to my website?

My book deals with motivational health, so my target is people looking for a healthier lifestyle.

This is a very good question, and please not he’s talking about a physical book and not an ebook. There are several things that you could do here.

First some of the things you mentioned would be a wonderful way. Like using Google Adwords. However, it’s very difficult for most people to setup successful Google Adwords campaigns. There is a sharp learning curve. If you get Adwords Miracle (tomeymarketing.com/adwords-miracle.htm), you shouldn’t have any problems doing it though.

You also mentioned writing articles. Yes, this is an absolutely incredible way to promote anything. The more articles you write and submit, the more traffic you will get, and if your site converts well, then you should make money. I recommend that you submit your articles to www.EzineArticles.com and www.ArticleMarketer.com These are the two that I use. With www.EzineArticles.com your articles get out there fast. I’ve seen traffic in as little as 4 days from the first submission of an article, and www.ArticleMarketer.com is a submission service. They take your article and submit it to tons of places, and that’s why I recommend them also.

For a book, sending press releases is another good traffic driver. To learn the most effective ways to write and submit press releases I suggest you grab Brad Callen’s Press Release Fire (tomeymarketing.com/likes/pressreleasefire.htm) For $19.95 it’s hands down the best guide out there. Brad is an SEO expert and an incredible marketer, so you’re in good hands with him. You can make your life easier by getting press release software also (tomeymarketing.com/likes/pressreleasesoftware.htm). Another resource I highly recommend is Alice Seba’s Press Release Profits (tomeymarketing.com/pressreleaseprofits.htm). Equipped with these tools and resources, you’ll be able to use press releases to promote your book with no problems at all!

Besides the above, you need to look into getting your own affiliate program. By doing this, you could be paying people to promote your book for you. The very first thing I did when I got online was to start my own affiliate program. I had run a very successful direct mail business offline and the reason it was so successful was because of my affiliates. (Called dealers in the offline world.) So, that’s why I started one immediately when I got online. Now my affiliates bring me in 75-80% of all of my income. You can grab my “Easy Affiliate Profits” ebook from www.viralebookads.com/ebooks/affiliateprofits It will take you from start to finish on what you need to have to start your own affiliate program, and how to successfully run an affiliate program.

So, my advice in a nutshell is to take one technique at a time. Implement it, track it, and if it brings you good results, keep using it, and then implement another technique. Keep implementing all you can, because is what you need is traffic, and to get a lot of traffic you need it coming from several different sources.

One last note here. I’ve seen a lot of marketers sell their books by giving big incentives. Is what they will do is offer a ton of downloadable products that are similar to their physical book, and tell people that if they buy their book, it will be shipped to them, but in the mean time, they can download all of these wonderful “bonus” products. It’s worked like crazy. I think Armand Morin was the first to do it.

You’re armed with a lot of good information here, so now you need to act on it!

A Word Of Caution…

Last week I had a reader email me with a very sad story that has cost him some serious money. I’m telling you about it so that when you have to make certain business decisions, you know what to look for.

Basically is what happened is this reader paid a web designer $2000 to setup his site and $500 a month for maintenance. (By the way, this is WAY too much money to spend on a web designer.) He also paid this designer to register the domain name for this site. The domains were bought by the web designer and put in the name of the owner of the site. (Never ever pay someone to register your domain name. Do it your self. It’s quick and easy)

Well here’s where things went bad. When it came time to renew the domains, the site owner did pay to have them renewed. In May the owner of the sites and the web designer decided to part ways on not so nice grounds, and the web designer shut down the sites claiming that he owned them.

After the site owner sent various emails, it’s finally come out that the domain names actually expired, and the web designer went behind the site owners back, snatched the domains, and told him that the domain names were going to be redeveloped, but he could make him an offer and buy the domains back for a very big price.

The website owner has now lost his sites, lost traffic to those sites, and has lost all his income from those sites.

Moral of the story…

When you hire someone to do something for you, make sure you keep most of the control. Double check everything and make sure that they can’t have any effect on your business!

How To Make Money From Every Subscriber You Get!

Making money seems to be a challenge to many people. So today, I thought I’d give you a quick and easy strategy for making money off of every subscriber that you get.

Here’s the plan:

You will need to create a web site offering an incredible product along with a monthly newsletter on the topic of the product (this product would be about your niche and the monthly newsletter would also be on your niche).

The product will be delivered to your customer/subscriber on CD, and they will be charged a shipping and handling fee of $8.95

Thus every subscriber will be making you money because it will cost less than $8.95 to have the CD made and shipped.

Let’s look at this step-by-step.

1. Find or create a product that you can have placed on a CD.

2. Find a service that can make these CD’s for you cheaply. (Just do a search for CD Duplication services.)

3. Create a short sales letter detailing the benefits of what will be sent to them and your monthly newsletter.

4. Use traffic techniques to drive traffic to your site.

This is quick and easy and something that I will soon be doing for my Marketing For REAL People newsletter.

Here’s my plan…

1. Create a product dealing with Internet marketing, and have a CD duplication company make up about 500 of these CD’s. My cost will be about $400 for this.

2. Turn the sales letter at www.MarketingForREALPeolpe.com into a page offering a CD with a product I create on the CD, and keeping my current ad copy detailing the benefits of my newsletter.

3. If the visitor gets the CD, they will then be put on my list. If not and they leave the page, they will be presented with a pop-up telling them if they don’t want the CD, they can still get my newsletter at no charge by clicking on the pop-up. This way I wont lose subscribers, if they just want to get my newsletter.

After I implement this, I’ll be able to make money from anyone the subscribes to my newsletter from my front page and gets the CD!

See, just one little simple strategy like this creates another income stream for me. We’ve talked a lot about strategies in this newsletter, and we still will on occasion, but I have developed a special site at www.UndergroundMarketingStrategy.com where I will be focusing the entire newsletter from there on nothing but strategies you can use to add streams of income!

What’s In Your Marketing Arsenal?

This should be a question that everyone asks himself or herself. What is in my marketing arsenal? Let’s first talk about what a marketing arsenal is.

An arsenal as defined by www.nps.gov/prsf/history/glossary.htm is a building or establishment for manufacturing, storing, repairing, and issuing arms and ammunition.

A marketing arsenal defined by me is a “database” that includes all of my techniques and tactics for making money online.

My marketing arsenal isn’t technically a “database”. It’s a folder on my computer labeled “Marketing Arsenal”. Inside this arsenal, I have other folders with different labels like:

List Building
Traffic Generation
Adsense Revenue
Niche Research
Product Creation

… and a few other ones. Inside each of these folders are step-by-step plans, techniques, resources, and the like that help me to make money online.

For instance in my List Building folder of my Marketing Arsenal, I have templates that I have used to build successful landing pages, plans to help me create these sites for maximum subscriber conversions, a few ebooks that I refer back to on list building over and over again, and a few other things.

Now every time I want to build a new list, tweak an existing list so that I can get more subscribers, I open up my Marketing Arsenal go into my List Building folder and everything I need to know and use is right there at my finger tips.

So, that’s why you need to ask yourself. What’s in my marketing arsenal? If you said I don’t have one, it’s time for you to get started on building one. All you have to do is create a new folder on your computer somewhere and name it “Marketing Arsenal”.

Now what is it that you want to do? Let’s say it’s get traffic to a brand new site you have created. Then inside your marketing arsenal folder create a new folder called “Traffic Generation”.

Now open up your word processing program and create a new document and save it as TrafficPlan inside this folder. Right out a plan of action and save it again. Don’t know where to start? Then it’s time for you to start researching. Read articles, ebooks, blogs or whatever it takes to start finding ways you can drive traffic. Record all your findings in your TrafficPlan document.

While you’re researching if you find resources on getting traffic that you want to refer back to, just save them to your Traffic Generation folder.

Once you’ve done all your research, it’s time to take action. Start with the first technique. Use it. Does it work? How well did it work? Record all of this in your TrafficPlan document.

Overtime you will be an out of this world Marketing Arsenal that will allow you to do anything and everything you want! I wouldn’t take a million dollars for my marketing arsenal because it has the potential to make me millions of dollars, and with time and focus you could have a million dollar marketing arsenal too!

Tag and Ping and Social Bookmarking Oh My!

After several months of this tag and ping and social bookmarking stuff, I’m just now starting to pay attention. Why? Well for two reasons actually. First I haven’t had time to investigate in it much. I never tell you about something I don’t know first hand about, so I haven’t mentioned it in any of my newsletters or promoted any products about it. Second, I thought it was all just hype.

I was wrong… It’s not hype and it really does work. I had a close friend show me some of his sites where he was doing nothing but tagging and pinging and using social bookmarking sites. His results were amazing. So I decided to try it on my own.

I took and developed brand new sites to test everything I have learned. Immediately once I started implementing these tactics, the search engines started sucking up my sites (meaning they indexed them very quickly), and I was instantly getting traffic to my sites.

I was blow away!

That’s why I did the Tag and Ping Course / Tag and Ping Magic review a few days ago. This stuff really works, and we’ll be talking about it more and more in future issues of the newsletter.
